This technical note covers selection of PG (Pulse Generator) option card selection for L&T-Yaskawa AC drives.
Note: Maximum Input Frequency (PPR) handled by PG option card is calculated using following formula,
fPG (Hz) = Motor max RPM / 60 * PG rating (Pulse Per Revolution)
Ex. For an (incremental) complementary encoder with PPR of 1024 & 960 RPM motor, fPG = 960 / 60 * 1024 = 16.384 kHz which can be handled by PG-B3 card.
